This particular trip was most unusual for me in many ways: firstly, I had always thought of southern Europe only as a summer destination for some reason, and secondly, I normally plan my trips to the nth degree.  This was very different - I booked one-way ticket, at short notice with only the first leg of the trip arranged - Malaga.
Over the next few weeks, I visited quite a number of places, staying in each place as long as I felt like doing so: I enjoyed this approach, as, normally, visits to places are either a desperate rush to fit everything in, or very occasionally, a feeling of wasting time somewhere that really doesn't merit it.
My full itinerary ended up taking in Malaga, El Chorro (El Caminito del Rey), Torremolinos (the least said the better), Marbella, Ronda, Sentenil de las Bodegas, Cadiz, El Puerto de Santa Maria and Jerez.
At this point, I ran out of steam to visit other places on my list, such as Seville, Cordoba and Granada, and decided that this tour would be Andalucia Part 1 to be followed by Part 2 another time.
Clicking on the images below will take you to my thoughts and photos for each of these places.
